Born and raised in Yarmouth, NS, James Turpin (he/him)

has been an active member of the local theatre family

since 2005, spending countless hours as a director, actor,

and lighting designer.

​

But filmmaking was always his first love. Having

experimented with short films for years, he began creating

music videos in 2018. His projects include videos for a

broad range of musical styles, such as folk artists All Mother,

Kristen Martell, and Dave Gunning, prog rock artist Marc

Durkee, and rock bands like Sluice and Rain Over

St. Ambrose -- and there are many more to come.
