Born and raised in Yarmouth, NS, James Turpin (he/him)

has been an active member of the local theatre family

since 2005, spending countless hours as a director, actor,

and lighting designer.

​

But filmmaking was always his first love. Having

experimented with short films for years, he began creating

music videos in 2018. His projects include videos for a

broad range of musical styles, such as folk artists All Mother

and Kristen Martell, prog rock artist Marc Durkee, and Trevor Murphy's regional pop-rock project Sluice -- and there are

many more to come.
